The following from Rita Ann:
He will need long term
prayer I'm afraid --------he has a rough road ahead. He is much better but, we
don't have him back 100 percent yet. He was severely depleted in Thamine
(Bvitamins) dehydrated, potassium levels very low -- confused and some memory
loss , couldn't make sentences, had no expressions-just giving us blank stares,
etc. Very scarey! We are told that he can fully recover -- this
time--------------------------

Mrs. Jeanne Minter Dryer Coleman, age 79, died 10/01/09 at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. She was a devoted teacher who served as head of the Anniston High School math department. She taught Algebra, science, and computer science during her career which included Johnston Junior High, Anniston Academy and Jacksonville State University. She was a very prominent and well respected person here in Anniston. She was past president of the Anniston Bridge Club and very, very active at the First United Methodist Church.

Chester Huckaby who has had a heart attack, four or five by passes. [this from Agnes] Some time after Chester's heart surgery, he had a small stroke. It has not affected him physically, but it has affected his ability to comprehend, recognize and his vision. He has a hard time recognizing everyone except his closest family members. Lester has been going over each day since their children have gone home, to help Barbara. Barbara has hurt her shoulder and is not able to do a lot with her right arm. So, he's been helping her get Chester to the doctor's appointments and to his therapy sessions. Right now, they don't know exactly what is going to happen. Some people make it all the way back in a matter of months, but, according to the therapist, it could take years. He gets very confused if he is over stimulated. He is doing well as far as his heart is concerned. Just pray that he will soon be the same "ol Chester we all know and love. The family has requested no visitors at this time, but well wishes may be sent to his home address for him to enjoy when he returns.
